What is a survey?

It’s an inspection that outlines the condition of the property. A lender will generally request one to make sure the house is worth the mortgage amount you’ve applied for.

They aren’t just for the lender’s benefit though! There are different levels of surveys that you can undertake to make sure no nasty surprises crop up further down the line.

What different types of surveys are there?

To put it simply, there are 3 different levels of House Surveys:
Level 1 – Conditions Survey
Level 2 – Home Buyers Report
Level 3 – Building Survey
