Chris started off with a Saturday job working with Lloyd’s bank, on the counter around his college hours. Things progressed and he was still there 19 years later. For the last 13 years, he’s been helping customers purchase property from a residential/commercial point of view. Due to the reshuffle in the bank last year, it gave him an opportunity to leave and join us at Warrington Mortgage Centre and we’re obviously extremely happy.
Where do I start if I’m a first-time buyer?
Affordability is the key to any mortgage application. This means where you stand as an employee and any commitments you may have. We get this information from your payslips, bank statements and even your credit file. Your first port of call would be to provide us with that information and then we can work out the affordability that’s available to you.
What are you looking to use on a payslip?
Your payslip gives us a real true picture, so it gives us the actual earned income and then there are other elements as well that we can take, things like commission, bonuses, and shift allowances so we can factor those in as most lenders do work slightly different so what Chris’s job is to look at what income you’ve got coming in and how he can use that to maximise the affordability.
Are you a first-time buyer and want to know more about the process of applying for a from a professional perspective?
